Something is troubling you. You may know exactly what it is. Perhaps something very real and specific has happened in your life that is requiring you to revisit old feelings you thought you had recovered from. Or perhaps there is a persistent obstacle of self-criticism, and doubt that is preventing you from living your full life. Or maybe you don't really know what is wrong, because things look good on the outside, yet don't feel so good on the inside.
Therapy is a place for paying close attention to your internal world and your emotional life. Knowing your internal world better will help you to know where you trip yourself up, so that you can make the choices and act in the way that you'd like. Knowing your emotions and being able to communicate about them is really the currency of relationship life.
