How do I start? Read my website to get a sense of who I am. If it seems that we could be a good match, please call or email me and let me know some good times to reach you directly. It is best if we can talk on the phone for about 15 minutes. That will give you a better sense of me. I will ask you a couple of questions and you can ask me any questions you have. The next step is to set a time for a face-to-face appointment. Initially, our appointments are to get to know one another better and make a plan for working together. You could expect to come 1-3 times to see if we are a good fit.
What is an LMFT? A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences of California. License #27856, since 1991. What is your fee? My fee is $250.00 for a 50 minute session for an individual and $280.00 for a 50 minute session for a couple. I accept payment by cash, check, or Zelle.
Do you take insurance? I do not take insurance directly, but you may be able to be reimbursed for my services. I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Many PPO plans pay a percentage of the fee, but you will have to check about your particular policy.

What is your cancellation policy? I require a 48 hour notice to cancel sessions without charge. I allow a total of 4 canceled sessions each year without charge. This includes cancellations that are due to illness, travel, babysitter glitches or whatever arises. Once we have decided to work together on a regular basis, I hold the appointment time for you; I can not give it away to others. If you are able to give me notice, I will make every effort to offer you another time during the week so as to maintain the continuity of therapy. If we’re both able to reschedule your appointment during the week, you will not be charged for the missed session.
